IN Memoriam
This Page is dedicated to Sabrina.
AKC name- Shane's Little Princess Sabrina.
Born August 17th 1992
On February 22, 2005 at 5:10PM, Roz & Glenn walked Sabrina 1/2 way across the Rainbow Bridge.
We took off her collar and kissed her and told her she would have to go to the other side by herself.
She looked up at us, gave us each a lick, then she saw her friends waiting for her on the other side and ran across to play, forever. The sweetest little girl that anyone could have.

She started Creating Wellness with Roz at Healdsburg Hospital in 1993 and for
12 years she warmed the hearts of those patients in both Healdsburg Hospital in Healdsburg Ca.
and Sutter Medical Center in Santa Rosa, Ca.

She loved to ride in the Healdsburg Parade with the Hospital volunteers.

Our "Sweet Willie, Free Willie, Wee Willie, Sweet William",
Came into our lives in Oct. 2003 at 6 mos. old.
Was taken from us on April 1st, 2005 to do more good work
and to be the social butterfly across the Rainbow Bridge.
So many sweet memories, in such a short life, we feel so blessed.
He will be missed by Cindy and Pat and especially by his buddy
and housemate, "Rocky". Nite,Nite, Willie!
In memory of "Cuddles Hansen"

Cuddles joined the Hansen family about 3 years ago.
She was 11 years old at the time and not used to people.
She went with Pat to work at a Doctors office and became
comfortable with people then she joined Creating Wellness
and worked 4 hours a week for 1-1/2 years. She became
very sick and weak and was taken across the Rainbow
Bridge on March 24th, 2005. She will always be remembered,
missed, and loved.
In Memory of "Utah"

On 4/18/2005 Utah ate his dinner, watched TV, went out potty,
ate his dog cookie, took his favorite toy to his dog bed, went
to bed and crossed the Rainbow Bridge in his sleep. God has
his favorites and spared him pain. He loved EVERYONE;
infants who tugged his ears, teenagers who threw the ball 'til he
flopped, seniors who groped him, all people: Animals were all
the same to him. He chased nothing and loved them all.He will be
soooo missed. He was soooo loved. (Thank you Nancy)
In memory of "Susie"
Susie was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on June 4, 1997, daughter of a cockapoo mother and a miniature poodle father, making her a cockapoopoo, although she preferred her mother's appellation. Her litter was bought by a kennel in Warrenton, Virginia, that specialized in Jack Russells and cockapoos. She was adopted on August 12, 1997, by Jean McWhorter of Monterey, Virginia.
For the first five years of her life, Susie was a contributing columnist with her own byline and photograph in the local newspaper. In her monthly articles, Susie promoted the adoption, rather than euthanization, of abandoned dogs and cats by writing stories of their adventures. She founded "Susie's Fan Club" to assist the area animal shelter purchase food and medicine. Through 62 membership dues, she succeeded in raising over a thousand dollars for this purpose.
After moving to California in 2003, Susie became a foreign correspondent embedded in Santa Rosa for her hometown newspaper. She resigned from that post after she began work in the Cultural Arts Council of Sonoma County where Mistress Jean was a docent, and Susie a dogcent. Not content to stop with one volunteer job, Susie also became a Pet Therapy dog in the Creating Wellness Program at Sutter Hospital. She happily cuddled on the beds of many patients, bringing smiles to their tiresome days and leaving little pawtographed photos of herself for their bulletin boards. She endeared herself to members of the Sutter staff, and particularly to the nurses at the Outpatient Ward who rewarded her with Charlie Bear snacks after she had finished her rounds.
In the spring of 2006, Susie's big heart became a reality when she developed an enlarged heart. At 10:00 a.m., on May 10, 2006, Susie crossed the Rainbow Bridge. We hope she is happily chasing rabbits somewhere.
Passed away on March 31st, 2007.
Lika.
Kerry & Pam
Kerry crossed the Rainbow Bridge on the 31st of March, 2007
Kerry was a beautiful German Shepherd boy who lived with us for 4 years and 10 days.
He packed a lot into that short time period. He hiked with us all up and down
the State of California, and Oregon. He went to dog shows and loved agility
contests. He loved to visit at the Hospital and play with our granchildren. He
was excited to greet each day and whatever activities it would bring.
I know he's just as happy being in Heaven as he was on Earth and thank
God for the time we had with him.
Etta & Deanne
The following are excerpts from a 4 page letter, eulogizing Deanne, written by Aerial Gilbert who was Deanne's first and only person that she guided.
Deanne, born April 23rd 1994 at Guide Dogs for the Blind. Raised for a year in Colorado, then returned to
Guide Dogs for formal training. Aerial received Deanne in January 1996 and graduated February 2nd, 1996.
Deanne's intelligence, grace, and wisdom was a special gift. During Deanne's 7 years with Aerial, she never
forgot a person, dog, or place. She loved babies, and her soft fleece toys. With Aerial she gave hundreds of
tours, speaking engagements and interviewed every volunteer that walked through the doors at Guide Dogs.
She guided Aerial through the streets of San Francisco on January 18th 2002 as Aerial carried the Olympic
Torch.
Deanne developed degenerative disc disease and was retired, then Etta Allen took her and loved her for the
next 71/2 years. Deanne's wisdom and connection with people was displayed over and over through the work
she continued to do at Sutter Hospital in Santa Rosa and at Marin General in Marin County. She went
everywhere with Etta, regardless.
At the last, Etta took Deanne ½ way across the Rainbow Bridge and then let her go across to be with all
of her friends who went before.
Summit:
She was an 11 year old German Shorthair Pointer. Lyle rescued her when she was 2 years old from a person who could no longer care for her. She went to “Boot camp” to learn hunting retrieval and for 6 years Lyle and Summit enjoyed pheasant hunting. She loved it. On the vet's recommendation she was retired. Then, Lyle and Summit joined Creating Wellness in March of 2007. In 2008 she was diagnosed with liver cancer and after surgery she was able to have another 6 months with her “family” and on Monday, October 13th, she was taken to the Rainbow Bridge, and allowed to cross to the other side to play with all of those she has known before. She will be greatly missed by the whole family.
Lisa & Jerry
Jerry:
My husband and I married in September of 2000 and soon began our search for Jerry.
We found an ad for golden retrievers in the paper and went to Windsor to see the puppies.
Jerry was there, when we heard he was born on January 1, 2001, we knew it was meant to be
and so the story began.
He was the absolute best dog ever. Jerry loved going to the lake and swimming at home in his pool,
I say his because he would sometimes accidentally ( on purpose) drop his ball in the pool and
then dive in after it. Of course his favorite time was when the family came over and he could swim with our
grandchildren. My youngest grandson loved to curl up on top of Jerry and take his naps when
he was very young and later when he came to visit he just loved curling up with Jerry.
Jerry was the most loving dog I have ever owned. He loved to play ball, chase turkeys, visit Sutter,
give big hugs and always made us smile. We miss him so much. He was a special boy.
Jerry crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on March 9th, 2009 due to a heart tumor.

Story pending.
Janet & Ribbon
Tamberlan's Ready for Ribbons ("Ribbon") 1998-2011.
Spent many hours in convalescent hospitals, hospitals, board & care homes since she was 4 months old.
She lived a broad life with many activities and interests. She loved every minute she was in Creating Wellness
at Sutter Medical Center, Santa Rosa, loved everyone and everyone loved her. Ribbon showed at AKC Obedience Trials
and won numerous High in Trials and OB. titles with her high scores by displaying Accuracy, Animation, and
Joy in the rings. She was a model for Fall Kids Catalogs, chosen by L.L.Bean and appeared in 18 different Golden
Retriever Calendars. She was at home everywhere she went, and had a wide and happy grin.
Ribbon was our special gift from God and she now lives in our hearts, but we will miss the warmth of her love and
presence with every heart beat.
